Welcome to Harbour Towne Marina Association, a friendly boating community established in 1984. Its 242 privately owned slips on Muskegon Lake create a unique dockominium experience—your personal piece of this boating paradise, distinct from traditional marinas where slips are just rented.

What is a Dockominium?

Harbour Towne Marina Association is a private dockominium, combining “dock” and “condominium,” where you own the airspace of your boat slip and share access to common areas, similar to a residential condo. Our professional management team handles maintenance, improvements, regulatory compliance, insurance, winter de-icing, bookkeeping, legal support, fuel dock operations, and facility oversight. A monthly association fee supports these efforts—primarily for maintenance, improvements, and utilities like water, electricity, Wi-Fi, and cable—while real estate taxes, assessed by the City of Muskegon, remain the slip owner’s responsibility.

 Slips For Seasonal Lease

Interested parties can view available slips listed here by slip-owners who are not occupying their slips and choose to lease them seasonally. Interested parties must contact the slip owner or realtor listed below to arrange a seasonal lease. 

The Association now offers a seasonal lease of “dock-ends” with full hook-ups (see below). Dock-ends are at the end of each pier and are directly along the channel. 

Costs Associated With Slip Ownership/Leasing at HTMA

  • The Harbour Towne Marina Association dues are $500 per quarter/$2000.00 per year. This includes all amenities, annual marina facility upgrades  and marina operational costs including utilities ( water, electric, cable tv, and wifi.) and dredging, and facility maintenance.
  • Slips are deeded parcels with property tax assessments subject to slip sales price and other city assessments.
  • There are also general boat insurance requirements associated with slip-ownership.
  • These dues only apply to slip co-owners. Slip-owners who lease their slips factor these costs into the lease rate they charge their renters.
Costs Associated By Seasonal Guest (Lessee)
  •  Co-Owner (Lessor) sets their own rate and leases use of slip to lessee which includes use of all amenities.   Be sure to understand if slip owners convey their pool privileges to tenant as there is only one card allotted per slip. Pool and community room is has specific rules set by Pidge Inn whom the association leases access from.     

 

  • Leases must be approved by management before final execution.    There is a lease rider and revocable amenity license that both lessor and lessee need to sign and turn in to office.
